A Birdeye alternative for people who run a shop, not a network
Birdeye is a full reputation platform: review generation, satisfaction surveys, customer messaging, social publishing, competitor tracking, reporting. It is sold per location per month, from 299 $ on the entry plan it advertises on annual prepay, up to 499 $ at the top.
It is a good tool for a company with someone whose job is to run it. If you run a restaurant, a pharmacy or a salon, your problem fits in one sentence: Google reviews pile up and nobody has time to answer them. Reply does only that.

Why people leave a suite for something smaller
Per location pricing is the first reason. A price designed for a thirty site chain is unreasonable for a single shop: you pay for the same engine as someone receiving two thousand reviews a month while you receive twelve.
The second reason is plainer: you use a fraction of what you pay for. Satisfaction surveys, competitor tracking and social publishing are real features, but they assume somebody runs them. Between two services, that person does not exist.
The third is pace. A suite is configured, learnt, driven. Reply connects to your Google profile, learns how you write from the replies you have already posted, and sends you on Telegram only what needs your call.
What Birdeye does that Reply will not
Birdeye watches dozens of review sources. Reply reads Google only. If your reputation lives on TripAdvisor, Booking or Yelp as much as on Google, Reply does not cover the subject.
Birdeye goes and gets reviews: SMS and email campaigns after a customer visit. Reply never asks anyone for a review. If your problem is having too few rather than too many, this is the wrong tool.
Birdeye runs networks, with roles, permissions and consolidated reporting across hundreds of locations. Reply stops at five.
What Reply does differently
The decision is split by rating, and the default protects the expensive case. Four and five star reviews get a reply that publishes on its own. Three star reviews come to you. One and two star reviews do too, unless you explicitly ask otherwise in your settings.
Approval arrives where you are already looking. No app to install, no dashboard to open: the review and the proposed reply land in a conversation, with a button to publish, one to rewrite, one to skip.
Replies do not come out of a template. Reply reads what you have already written on Google and takes after it, then quotes what the customer actually mentioned. A dish, a first name, a moment.
What you gain
- A fixed, published price, 14 € a month for one business, with no quote and no negotiation.
- No commitment. You cancel in one click from your account.
- Nothing to learn: the only daily interface is a Telegram conversation.
- By default, no negative review is published without your explicit approval.
- Replies written in the language of the review, with no setting on your side.
What you lose
- Every other review platform. Reply reads Google only.
- Review generation. Reply chases no customer by SMS or email.
- Satisfaction surveys and competitor tracking.
- Social publishing and listing management.
- Multi location beyond five profiles.
How to judge before you pay
Connect your Google profile. Reply reads your history of reviews and replies, works out your tone, and drafts replies to your real reviews. You see what it would have written before a single line reaches Google.
A business that is configured but has no active subscription publishes nothing. That is not a sales promise: it is a lock inside the product, the same one that pauses an account when a payment fails.
Replies go out on an irregular delay and never during your quiet hours. Nobody will see twenty replies published in the same second, which is the most recognisable sign of a machine.
Common questions
Can Reply replace Birdeye for a twenty location network?
No. Reply stops at five Google profiles and has neither team roles nor network wide consolidated reporting. Above that, a suite remains the right call.
Can I keep Birdeye for review generation and use Reply for replies?
Technically yes, both connect to your Google profile. But two tools answering the same reviews step on each other: turn automatic replying off on whichever one you keep for generation.
Do I lose my old replies if I switch?
No. Replies already published live on your Google profile, not in the tool that wrote them. They stay, whatever you use next.
How long until it runs?
As long as it takes to connect your Google profile from a browser, answer a few questions about your tone, and scan a QR code to link Telegram.
